Blade & Soul – Way of the Phantom Assassin Specialization

2020-03-12 11:14

Blade & SoulOne of the latest Blade & Soul updates concerns the Assassins class. This class just got its third specialization, the Way of the Phantom. This is a special fighting technique that teaches Assassins a new stance called the Phantom. When this stance is active, players are able to do massive damage and rely on the help of Shadow Stalkers. You will not just become stronger but also use the dark energy to summon powerful allies that will help you get rid of your enemies.

When you will be picking up this specialization for the first time, some of the abilities will look familiar. That's because the specialization is built on the essence of the Assassin class. This doesn't mean that it doesn't come with new things. Players will discover that they can use their Shadow Stalkers to do very fast attacks.

The specialization is constructed on the Phantom Marks mechanic. The idea behind this specialization is to stack these marks. The maximum stack number is five. A UI element shows how many stacks you currently have. How do you gain stacks? Stacks are gained when you make use of certain abilities. Make sure you have the maximum number of marks and then make the switch to the new Phantom stance. The marks are used as a resource for powerful abilities.

This is an important part of the entire Phantom play so don't enter the stance if your current stack size is zero. The stance is entered by pressing the Tab button. You won't last for long in this stance. The advantage is that your normal attacks will be more dangerous. You will also be able to use special attacks. Phantom Shuriken and Night Reaver are special abilities that can be used in this stance. They cost Phantom Marks. As you spend marks on abilities, you will get Twilight. This is used as a resource for the Twilight Strike ability. Do the Twilight Slash ability three times and you will be able to use the Strike. When you use Twilight, you lower the cooldown of the Phantom attacks. The idea is to use it as much as possible in order to spend more time in the Phantom stance.

Get Phantom Emblems and you will be able to evolve your accessories. The emblems are available from the Dragon Express. They cost one gold. The equipment management system allows you to complete this process. Tranquility Emblems and Unrefined Thundercall Bracelets allow you to change specializations for bracelets. For soul badges, you will need other items bought with gold. For some mystic badges, you can only do the change once.
