Blade and Soul players have the chance to take part in a Halloween inspired event that starts on October 18 and lasts for three weeks. During this time, a special NPC called Shin Baeyun makes an appearance in the Earthen Realm. However, she only spawns in select locations. There are nine dungeons where Shin Bayeum reveals herself to players. She is known as the Merchant of Wonders. Players that want to see what she has for sale are required to team up and start completing dungeons. She doesn't always sell the same items. Each player sees a different instance of her wares. She sells valuable items such as sacred oil and Xanos discs but also event themed cosmetics. Out of all nine possible spawn locations, there are a few that seem to be her favorites. She prefers to show herself in the newest dungeons but she has also been spotted in the daily lockout ones. This is convenient as these dungeons are favorite locations for most players.
To increase their chances of getting more prizes, players should not miss the daily challenge. This is available each day for the entire duration of the event. The prize for completing the daily challenge is a Ghoulish Gift Box that has the chance of containing various items. Three consumable items are some of the prizes that are found in the event chests. We suggest you prepare enough Blade and Soul Gold before start. Upon consumption, players gain a buff that works in three dungeons. These candies have a cooldown that lasts for five minutes. Players lose the buff if they die, log out of the game, or leave the instance. The skull candy gives increased critical damage and boss attack power. Snack o'lanterns boost boss defense by 500 and threat by 50%. If damage mitigation is what players are after, they can consume a flaming jawbreaker to increase this stat by 15%. There are two weekly raid quests that allow players to get more cosmetic items. The two activities are Raven's Cry and Chasing Zulia. The Blade and Ghoul event lasts until November 8th.
